If I could be anywhere right now
Finishing up breakfast on the weathered-smooth porch of the run-down farmhouse I'd have bought in West Virginia. Sunshine on the tin roof, blackbirds in the fields, afternoon showers in the distance. Considering whether I wanted to start by fixing the gutters, brushing the burrs out of the shaggy stray mutt's fur, or weeding the kitchen garden.

This is my bit of a blog. Rambling words about rambling days. No focus and nothing ambitious. I seem to write most about local color, nature, and animals, and there is an incomplete chunk about my road trips of 2011.
