This is my bit of a blog. Rambling words about rambling days. No focus and nothing ambitious. I seem to write most about local color, nature, and animals, and there is an incomplete chunk about my road trips of 2011.

Musconetcong River Swimming Hole

At long last, found the Musconetcong River swimming hole, in Penwell (Warren County, New Jersey), listed at swimmingholes.org. Terrific spot physically. Did not disappoint in terms of the water setting. Unfortunately (in my opinion, that is), there were quite a few people there, including a couple medium-size groups. Worse, there was some of the worst dumping and litter I've seen in a long while, including a sofa in the river and multiple torn and open bags of trash along bank. I did not swim. My search for a quiet, beautiful, secluded swim spot continues.
