This is my bit of a blog. Rambling words about rambling days. No focus and nothing ambitious. I seem to write most about local color, nature, and animals, and there is an incomplete chunk about my road trips of 2011.

Ellijay, Georgia

Early twentieth-century downtown. All red brick. Walkable six blocks. Much too much through car traffic. Several cafes.

Lots of modest to small homes, walking distance to downtown. Saw several runners.

In beautiful, open, rolling, shallow valley. Detour from main Routes 2/5/76/515.

Main route has commercial strip. Then half mile away, big, retail, outdoor mall area. Otherwise mostly trees this area.
