This is my bit of a blog. Rambling words about rambling days. No focus and nothing ambitious. I seem to write most about local color, nature, and animals, and there is an incomplete chunk about my road trips of 2011.

Sylva, North Carolina

Four-block, walkable Main Street. Large, white courthouse at end, overlooking. Main Street by paper factory. Two- to three-story buildings, circa 1900. Immediately surrounding hills, small Mid-century homes with mature gardens. Big, ugly commercial swath leading into town. Valley pleasant. But quite large hills surrounding - no farmland.
