Men and Skirts
What is it about the vocabulary of the average man that makes him insensible to the difference between a dress and a skirt? For, not even the average woman, but all women, this sartorial distinction is as basic as those between a chair and a table, a car and a tractor, a cup and a plate. Peculiar.
