Headstone Designs

Many of the newer headstones at the local cemetery are explicitly designed for flowers. With platforms upon which to set vases. Or often with vases, in stone or metal, built right in. Often as the centerpiece of the headstone. Especially frequently for couples, with a platform or vase between them. I suppose this is a new fashion and nothing particular to this locality. But I'm not sure I ever noticed it before. Or at least not with such prevalence. I see lots of artificial flowers, relatively well maintained. No cut flowers so far.
