This is my bit of a blog. Rambling words about rambling days. No focus and nothing ambitious. I seem to write most about local color, nature, and animals, and there is an incomplete chunk about my road trips of 2011.

Hiawassee, Georgia

Lake itself is sprawling thing. Road weaves around it.

Town is newer, driving town. Retail, banks. Nicest and seemingly oldest building, Art Deco town hall.

Homes all around fringing lake, and on smaller overlooking hills.

Valley is shallow and broad, gently rolling, topographically lovely.

Development too sprawling. Range of home values, not exclusive.

Routes 2 West and 69 North, from Hiawassee, Georgia, to Hayesville, North Carolina

Commercial establishments along roadway. Route 69 North alternating commercial, forest, residential. Into beautiful, broad valley.
